Weekend Blues
I spent most of my weekend doing chores and errands. My husband is remodeling our den, my daughter is away at college, and I hardly saw my son. He helped my husband, worked at his part-time job, and played computer games. I found myself feeling overly sorry for myself. Does anyone have any ideas on how to have a good time on a budget? I want to plan something for next weekend so that I can at least go back to work and have something to contribute to the lunchtime conversation. Everyone at work always seems to make the most of their weekends. I hope that next weekend I will have a better time.

Sorry, I have no plans for the weekend except read, read and read for my classes. I will be busy enough.
Movies... Netflix is relatively inexpensive...or the library has DVDs for free...
My boyfriend and I sometimes spend evenings at Borders... read stuff that we want to read but don't necessarily want to spend 25 bucks for......drink smoothies at their lame cafe...enjoy time together...
Sorry I don't have too many suggestions...my weekends are pretty lowkey...although I know what you're saying...it's nice to feel like you've "done something" with your weekend...
Check out local places for live music...that's always a good evening out...
